We are looking for an Executive Chef for a new opening for a Japanese-influenced Hotspot in NYC opening in Chelsea/Midtown West in NYC part of a successful NYC Hospitality Group. Email us at: >/em> or apply here A dynamic new Japanese gastropub is set to debut in Chelsea NYC in Q1 2025. We are seeking an innovative Executive Chef with a strong foundation in new Japanese cuisine to help lead this exciting venture. Menu Highlights: Creative small plates featuring dumplings, noodles, fried chicken, and fresh salads. Tokyo-style pizza omakase as a unique menu feature. Innovative dishes inspired by a blend of Japanese culinary traditions. Responsibilities Include: Menu Creation : Develop a diverse menu showcasing both classic and modern Japanese flavors, as well as innovative dishes with global influences. Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a kitchen team to ensure exceptional quality and presentation. Operational Oversight : Manage ingredient sourcing, maintain relationships with suppliers, control food costs, and oversee kitchen inventory. Food Safety : Uphold food safety and sanitation standards. Collaboration : Work closely with management and front-of-house staff for a cohesive guest experience. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience as an Executive Chef in upscale or high-volume environments. In-depth knowledge of Japanese cuisine; additional training in French or Italian traditions is beneficial. A creative approach to menu development and presentation. Strong team leadership, organizational skills, and effective communication. Commitment to maintaining high culinary and safety standards. Compensation and Benefits: Salary range: $100,000-$125,000, depending on experience. Health care coverage, including medical and dental. 2 weeks of paid time off.
