Introduction /n GRADE ASTD8/n LOCATION OF POSITION MDH Worcester County Health Department/n6040 Public Landing Road/nSnow Hill, MD 21804/n Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this full-time position will be to handle customer calls and inquiries. This would include problem solving and providing accurate information to the general public./n/n/nAdditional duties include, but are not limited to:/n/n/n Vital records/n Fleet/n Petty cash and other administrative duties as assigned/n/n/n/n/nThis position is diverse and may vary and change from day to day depending on the public health situation being handled or the demands of the general public./n/n/nThe selected applicant must be willing and able to travel to all Worcester County Health Department sites./n/n MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. /nExperience: One year of experience performing clerical duties. /nNotes: /n1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours of education at an accredited college or university for one year of the required experience. /n2. Six months clerical training with three courses in subjects such as keyboarding, clerical math, word processing, spreadsheets, database, graphics presentation, proofreading, or office etiquette may be substituted for six months of the required experience. /n3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administrative classifications or in Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Clerical Support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience./n DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The desired candidate should possess:/n/n/n Experience using electronic spreadsheet programs/n Customer Service experience/n Experience with compiling information and preparing reports/n /n/n/n SELECTION PROCESS Applicants who meet the minimum (and selective) qualifications will be included in further evaluation.
