Famous has strong growth plans, which will continue to provide growth opportunities for our team members.The Inventory Specialist is vital to the daily operations of our distribution center, actively engaging in all inventory management functions to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient processes. In this role, you will own inventory accuracy, which includes performing cycle counts, running Inventory reports, correcting discrepancies and conducting root-cause analysis. Additionally, you will provide support and guidance to Warehouse Associates and Managers through collaboration with team members to optimize inventory flow, making a significant impact on our operational efficiency.Starting wage: $19/hour + based on experiencePrimary Job Responsibilities:Monitor warehouse message system and emails to address any inventory action items Run and interpret Inventory reportsRun supplemental counts, queue counts in scanner, count immediate cycle counts and/or backordersPerform adjustments (RF Scanners, cycle count, warehouse supplies, product superseded) After counting disputed items, communicate through proper channels and report the information Troubleshoot large dollar adjustmentsAssist with locating missing productsAssist with identifying transfer ordersMaintain location accuracy in the buildingReview inventory adjustment entry dailyDispose of obsolete inventory as directedThroughout the day, answer any phone calls and requests, assist with receiving questions, warehouse projects & tasks needed to successfully run the daily operationAny other tasks & projects assigned by leadership needed to support the operationNote: Famous Supply Warehouse associates will handle large products such as water heaters, furnaces and showers.Required Experience and Skills:Strong communication skillsProblem solvingExperience working in a warehouseAbility to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Ability to stand on feet for majority of an 8-hour dayAbility to work in a fast-paced environment3-5 years of experience in an inventory roleAble to use a computer, handheld devices and other office technologyHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPreferred Experience and Skills:Forklift experienceBuilding industry experience and requisite product knowledgeExperience using RF Scanners3-5 years of experience working in a warehouse settingWhat Makes Us Famous!
