Looking for an individual that is a team player with a good attitude and a desire to learn. The main responsibility of the position involves mechanical repairs. Strengths in mechanical assembly is needed and a willingness to learn. Familiarity with electronics would be helpful. This person will be part of a product repair group that manages the repair of (RMAs) Instron equipment sent in for repair by our customers and field engineers. Communication with customers and FSE's during the repair process is key to running this business. This individual must be organized, detail oriented, has a team mindset and have a proven ability to adapt to changing priorities. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: * Mechanical assembly * Troubleshoot, quote, repair, and test each repair to assure functionality. * Evaluate, quote, and discuss with customers the progress and status of repairs. * Plan jobs and work within quoted budgets. * Achieve or exceed the department revenue and margin goals. * Recommends change to products or maintenance procedures to improve reliability, maintainability, and/or ease of operation. * Has the ability to document repair progress and procedures.
