Field Engineer Job Overview The Field Engineer is part of the design and fulfillment team that builds and delivers KORE's custom-engineered battery energy storage solutions. Work is primarily based out of our Waterbury, Vermont office. However, you are required to travel to the customer's site during system construction and integration. Essential Functions and Responsibilities * Involved in all aspects of battery energy storage system production and integration, including electrical, mechanical, and controller fabrication. * Assisting with system installations at customer sites as needed. * Provide engineering support for production activities to ensure quality control and production efficiency. * Follow safety procedures and report any safety concerns to the Compliance and Safety Officer or Production Manager. * Stay current with product specifications, engineering technology, and production processes. * Develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality, and reliability. Reports To The position will report to the Field Supervisor. Qualifications * Mechanical and electrical experience working in engineering production or a related field. * A degree in engineering or a related field is preferred but not required. * A firm grasp of engineering concepts; experience with mechanical systems and products is helpful. * Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability. * Experience operating hand and power tools. * Ability to communicate effectively and clearly. * Ability to travel as needed. * Must be self-motivated and a great team worker. Physical Requirements * Standing for extended periods is common. * Hearing and vision within normal ranges, with or without corrective lenses or an assisted hearing device. * Some heavy lifting is expected; occasional exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force may be required. * Good manual dexterity is required for assembly and production work. Work Environment * The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional production setting. * Secondary job requirements include travel with fieldwork which can consist of hiking, construction work, moving heavy objects, and wearing PPE for specific tasks.
