Pacific Coast Producers, a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking a talented and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at our Production Facility in Salem, OR. Pacific Coast Producers (PCP) is dedicated to investing in its people and fostering a culture of service, where each employee can do their best to make affordable, high-quality food for customers across North America. Our Salem facility produces maraschino cherries and other cherry products in various styles, colors, and flavorsand employs between 70-100 employees. Salary Range: $60,000-$70,0000 per year; candidate will be paid based on their work experience and skills. This position is eligible for the annual profit-sharing bonus program.Reporting to a Production Manager, this exempt level position manages and directs all functions within a designated production area. Incumbent will ensure that production standards, quality standards, labor efficiencies, safety regulations, and product output comply with FDA, USDA, and company policies. Will supervise assigned staff with authority to make employment decisions. Primary Responsibilities:Supervise and train employees in company policies, safety, sanitation protocol, quality, and production procedures/standards.Consult with the Production Planner and Plant Superintendent on production schedule and performance sheets. Adjust plans accordingly and ensure staffing levels meet production schedules.Document daily production records; investigate and report all production shortages, overages, and losses.Manage changes to procedures or processes resulting from changes in equipment, line modifications, installations, customer specifications, etc.Administer and maintain company policies, union contract work rules, ensure employees are following all SOPs, General Manufacturing Practices, and plant safety requirements. Perform other duties as may be assigned. RequirementsBachelor's degree preferred in Operations Management or related field; and/or 3+ years management experience in food processing/manufacturing environment. Knowledge and experience may be substituted for degree.Strong organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines.Computer skills required with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Demonstrates good leadership skills and an ability to work effectively with others.Ability to work flexible hours when needed. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physical RequirementsFrequent physical activity includes sitting, walking, using a keyboard, touching, hearing, and speaking.
