Working together with the General Manager and other staff, the Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing outstanding guest service and ensuring that hotel standards are maintained at all times. The role includes greeting guests and providing check-in & check-out service, accepting payments, and guaranteeing excellence is evident in every customer communication. This position is crucial to the success of the hotel as the image we present to our guests and the community reflects the first-rate reputation of the Comfort Inn brand. If you are experienced in hospitality and eager to advance your career, please apply today for immediate consideration.Job Responsibilities:Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at whatever time of day.Maintain positive guest relations at all times.Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies.Process all guest check-ins & check-outs.Verify registration card information with the guest.Obtain backup information for guest credit/payment method and input into system; collect cash when designated.Handle overbooked or walk-in guests.Accept and record wake-up call requests.Monitor, send, and distribute guest faxes.Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel (i.e., special requests, amenity delivery).Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.Match the bucket check to in-house guest ledger report, and report discrepancies to Manager.Other duties as assigned.Successful Candidates Must Have:Eighteen years of age or older.High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 1 year hotel/motel front desk or guest service experience.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand for long periods.Stay calm under pressure and adapt to quickly changing hotel and customer needs.Scheduling flexibility.Moderate to advanced computer skills.
