SUMMARY: Front Desk staff members are responsible for welcoming guests to Founders' Taproom and ensuring that parties are seated quickly, accurately, and in a way that is both welcoming and informative. It is critical that Front Desk staff obtain the ability to multi-task for long periods of time and be able to learn each element of the position, including but not limited to: greeting, seating, updating floor maps, and managing to-go orders. Front Desk staff supports and works alongside Taproom staff to ensure the highest level of customer service and Taproom efficiency while performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Greet and welcome customers when they approach the counter. * Accurately bring guests to the correct table and be able to explain how to order food/beverages. * Able to use the tablet and learn how to accurately use the Yelp Waitlist to call up guests. Call tables up in a timely manner. * Knowledge of how to work the phone system (transfer a call, place a call on hold) and emails, and provide friendly and helpful customer service. * Ability to learn and use Aloha POS. * Accurately take food orders from customers with a positive and helpful attitude in person and over phone. Proactively assist them with any questions. * Prepare and present to-go food orders. Take to-go orders from guests and enter them accurately into Aloha POS. Process payments in a timely manner. * Perform light cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, wiping down counters, and taking out trash and recycling, always keeping the counter clean and neat. * Stock counter area supplies, which requires heavy lifting up to 30 pounds * Let manager on duty know when you are low on food/beer menus. * Be able to communicate effectively with the door staff and manager on duty about wait times, or any issues with guests. * Develop and maintain a knowledge of Founders' culture, products, and the Taproom layout. Be able to effectively communicate that information to our customers. * Demonstrate understanding of Michigan law as it pertains to the sale of alcohol * Treat all customers and co-workers with courtesy and respect. * Immediately communicate any personnel or customer-related issues, injury, or out-of-stock beer or other items with the Manager on Duty. * Maintain a safe work environment according to federal and state regulations. * Learn floor plan/table numbers. * Complete and sign for assigned side work during each shift. * Perform opening and closing procedures * Change paper towel/toilet paper, clean and sanitize all surfaces including toilets, toilet paper dispensers, sinks, paper towel dispensers, door handles/locks in the bathroom. Refill soap dispensers in the bathroom as needed. * Ensure all necessary items are stocked and available * Help maintain clean indoor/outdoor environment for guests.
