What You'll Do: * Long-term team player constantly engaging in challenging, permanent work in an often chaotic environment. * Stock clerk must possess excellent communication and organizational skills. * The stock clerk associate is responsible for providing service and convenience in fulfilling any stocked item request. * The stock clerk is part of a dynamic team and is required to be part of the continuous improvement effort to improve storeroom processes and practices for consistently superior service and convenience. * The Stock Clerk will report to the Central Stores - Store Room Supervisor and is responsible for performing the following duties: * Unload freight from trucks. Unpack items from pallets and boxes. * Receive delivered items, both physically and through the inventory management system. * Inspect and verify incoming parts versus items ordered and compare to packing list. Report discrepancies and other problems. * Stock shelves with inventory items. * Perform Cycle Counting in accordance with the established program. * Pick inventory items and stage for maintenance work. * Pick and kit parts as directed by the reservation report/maintenance schedule. * Issue/return inventory items to/from customers via the stores window. * Accurately perform transactions in SAP for the above tasks. * Use appropriate equipment to safely move/lift items - lift truck, pallet truck, cart, etc. * Answer the phones, respond to email messages, attend meetings as required. * Follow all plant health, safety, environmental and security rules and procedures. Wear personal protective equipment as appropriate/required. * Interact with customers, vendors, delivery personnel, and co-workers in a friendly, professional manner. * Additional duties as assigned. Skills That Make a Difference: * High School Diploma from an accredited school. * Intermediate computer skills, Database entry, MS Word, Excel, MS Teams, Outlook, etc. * Good interpersonal skills. * Lift truck experience considered a plus! * Working SAP knowledge related to inventory/hard goods preferred. What Will Be Your Environment: * Capability to physically lift/move items typically weighing up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Routine lifting max 20 pounds. * Occasional moving of heavier items (pipe, larger valves, etc.) with help from co-workers and equipment. * Must be willing/able to work in a warehouse environment and occasionally outdoors in inclement weather.
