Overview Imperial Dade, a leading North American distributor, has an Equipment Service Administrator opportunity available in Detroit, MI! This position is responsible for directing and scheduling the troubleshooting & repairing of mechanical and electrical systems on commercial floor machines, sweepers, scrubbers, buffers, etc. Imperial Dade is the leading independently owned and operated distributor of foodservice packaging and janitorial supplies in North America. All correspondence will come directly from Imperial Dade and not a personal email address. Responsibilities You will: * Act as an administrative assistant to the equipment service technician team * Be responsible for setting up and maintaining equipment PM schedule; Must also complete and electronically file all PM and work order paperwork. * Maintain up to date records of services performed; Log all completed service orders and then submit them for billing. * Maintain strong relationship with equipment manufacturers and parts suppliers. * Call vendors for RGA #'s on parts that are being returned for warranty and or other reasons; Log all warranty claims; Coordinate with assigned internal contacts on pack up and shipping of all returned parts. * Order and coordinate with the assigned internal contacts the slotting and putting away of inventory for stock or for special orders; write up and log all purchase orders. * Obtain pricing and availability on parts from vendors. * Organize and maintain equipment files from vendors; Organize and maintain servicemanuals for shop use; Copy and send manuals to customers when requested. * Receive customer service requests via phone, fax, & e-mail for supervisor to schedule in all EBP Branches * Bilingual is a plus. * Other activities as directed by management. Qualifications You have: * High School Diploma / GED / Technical Program Certificate * Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task with little supervision. * Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions. * Ability to conduct oneself in a professional, confidential and competent manner in a multitude of situations * Strong PC skills * Ability to communicate effectively. * Must be detailed oriented.
