Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) has been a technology development and manufacturing leader of infrared systems for over 70 years, and it continues to be one of the industry stakeholders in the production of high-tech vision products for a variety of space, tactical and commercial applications. RVS is seeking an early career professional to implement program reliability requirements throughout proposal and program life cycle. This individual will serve as junior program Reliability Engineer working with more senior Engineers as the learn and take on more responsibilities. This is an onsite position. What You Will Do Optimize new and current designs for improved reliability. Improve product reliability through analysis of field samples and vendor data, statistical analysis and design changes. Provide Reliability Engineering support to design engineering teams. Diagnose product issues with customers, suppliers and representatives and provide innovative solutions. Utilize statistical techniques such as Weibull analysis to predict product failure rates and quantify improvement activities. Provide support to Program Quality and other Engineering functions on products moving through the factory. Develop test methods to simulate field environment. Develop product reliability goals and processes to achieve them such as product duty cycles, and design goals. Support and Develop design guidelines for product reliability. Participate in design, FMEA, and product development gate reviews. Review product reliability targets and test results to confirm reliability. Qualification You Must Have Typically requires bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and two (2) years of relevant experience. Minimum 2 years' experience in Reliability Modeling and Predictions or other engineering role. Working experience with Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA). Working experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodology, systems, and resources. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Working knowledge of Industry and Government Quality Requirements and Standards. Infrared industry, semiconductor processing or DoD industry experience. Past or present regular member or chair of Material and Failure non-conformance review boards (MRB/FRB). Experience in developing or a member of risk & opportunity management, assessment, mitigation, and capture. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Certification. Experience in Earned Value Management (EVMS) and Cost Account Management (CAM) including Bases of Estimation (BOE). Experience with statistical and metrics software (e.g., Tableau, Minitab). Experience with factory systems and software (e.g., SAP, Windchill). Knowledge and experience with Systems, Quality or Test Engineering. Working experience in predictive and proactive measures, metrics assessments, and supporting actions to improve performance or mitigate problems. The ability to lead, support, and mentor others in routine settings and difficult situations. Ability to collaborate with program team members to develop practical solutions to complex problems. Thorough written and verbal presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
