Maintenance Specialist

Staffmark is excited to offer a Maintenance Specialist position in Springfield, OH. Pay: $18.00/hr - $40.00/hr Shift: Initial training on 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), and you can transfer to 2nd Shift (typically 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) Requirements: * High School diploma or GED. * Knowledge in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (1-2 years of experience or technical training). * Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Capable of working with chemicals, wearing a respirator, working in confined spaces, and operating forklifts. * Willingness to work off-shifts and weekends as needed and to be on-call for emergencies. As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing repairs, preventative maintenance on equipment, and general upkeep of the facility. Your role is critical to ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and safely while also maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities: * Perform necessary repairs on equipment, including during off-hours or weekends if needed. * Train with associates on preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring completion and accuracy. * Ensure equipment operates safely on a daily basis and that all preventative maintenance is documented and up-to-date. * Work with contractors for equipment repairs and oversee their activities on-site. * Help develop an inventory system for key parts needed for emergency repairs and handled purchasing procedures. * Complete and submit daily paperwork and assist in maintaining a clean work area according to 5S standards. * Recommend and plan projects with outside vendors and management.
