The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Houtzdale is seeking a highly motivated and dependable Corrections Stock Clerk to join our staff. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Corrections Stock Clerk for the Department of Corrections, you will handle the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control activities for a variety of stock items and supplies for SCI Houtzdale. Your responsibilities include inventorying stock and receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and raw materials. You will have the opportunity to train and monitor inmate workers in the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control activities for a variety of stock items and supplies. Work includes preparing routine reports and operating motor vehicles, fork lifts, or hand trucks to move oversized or heavy items, remove scrap materials, or make deliveries. Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment, 40 hours per week. + Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. + Salary: Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,664.00 (before taxes). + This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. + You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: + One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience;or + An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: + Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. + You must be able to perform essential job functions.
