Tuerk House, Inc, a leading behavioral health organization in Baltimore area, is seeking to add a Maintenance Technician to our Team. Position Reports To: Director of Transportation FLSA Reports: Non-exemptPosition Summary: Reporting to the Director of Facilities and/or their designee, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing assistance with an overview for the safe and efficient functioning, maintenance and operation of all Tuerk House facilities, buildings, equipment, machinery, utilities, landscaping, systems, physical environment, facilities' aesthetics and grounds-keeping. Duties and Responsibilities:Perform minor repairs. Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues. Install appliances and equipment. Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash, etc. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems. (e.g. ventilation) Check functionality of safety systems. (e.g. fire alarm) Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment. Performing preventative maintenance. Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary. Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them. Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc. Repairing machines or structures as necessary. Other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Education and/or Experience: Basic knowledge of HVAC. Basic knowledge of plumbing. Basic knowledge of electrical systems. Basic knowledge of drywall and painting. Experience using hand and electrical tools. Ability to read technical manuals and drawings. Valid Maryland driver's license. High School Diploma/GED.
