What you get to do: * Responsible for oversite of all In-Park Revenue Special Events (Birthday Parties, VIP Tour Groups, Cookie Decorating and Pumpkin Decorating) execution from start to finish, including event details, contacting, planning stages and post-event communication * Responsible for meeting guests needs while pursuing tailored event enhancements to drive incremental revenue"¯through Birthday party events * Work with executive assistant to ensure all events are communicated and scheduled on all leadership calendars. * Verify location of event is event ready and assist with all components for a successful event. * Function as the on-site Sesame Place Birthday Party event coordinator and main point of contact for clients to ensure event deliverables exceed expectations * Supervise ambassadors and coordinate deliverables with key departments to ensure successful event. * Responsible for following all minor labor laws * Assist with other in-park initiatives and special projects as needed * Other duties as needed within the team What else is important: * Minimum 2 years college education, bachelor's degree preferred * 2-3 years of experience in event execution for hospitality industry, theme park, convention center or equivalent"¯preferred * At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and able to meet company driving guidelines * Needs to have open weekend availability * Needs to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet tight deadlines and be extremely detailed to work on contracts, itineraries, park-wide communication, etc. * Strong leadership skills and ability to assume greater responsibility * Needs to demonstrate effective sales presentation skills and overall professional demeanor * Proficient in computer programs * Excellent oral and written communication skills, multilingual is a plus * Customer service experience"¯required * Positive attitude, team player & excellent communication skills * Strong guest relations skills * Must be able to work independently The perks of the position: * Paid Time Off * Complimentary Park Tickets and Passes * Park Discounts on Food and Merchandise * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance * 401K Retirement plan * Voluntary Insurance * Life Insurance * Disability Benefits * Tuition Reimbursement * Dependent and Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts * Employee Assistance Program * Legal Assistance Plan EEO Employer: SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
