DescriptionThis position is responsible for assignments repairing a wide variety of transformers at customer sites.Insists on safety as job #1.Follow safety guidelines for the area and all company policies and procedures.Complete oil sampling following all procedures.Complete the work orders as assigned and teach level I and II Field Service Technicians.Complete unit and LTC inspections.Run oil processing equipment.Conduct safety site walks to determine site is safe.Re-gasket transformers with minimal supervision.Remove broken parts and prep for transportation.Complete turn ratios, power factor test, and meg tests correctly as assigned.Complete full testing scope:Doble: Excitation, Overall, Arrestors, and Bushings.Winding ResistanceInsulation Resistance (Megger)Turn-to-Turn (TTR) ratioCT Testing SFRA TestingLiquid-Level, Oil, Winding Temperature GaugesSudden-Pressure Relay (SPR)Pressure-Relief Device (PRD)Buch-holtz RelaySafely utilize industrial equipment, following capacity and load limits.Follow all environmental specifications for the area, especially related to spill containment.Complete assignments and report issues to supervisor.RequirementsHS Diploma/GED, required. 5-7 years previous shop/manufacturing experience. Prefer communication skills sufficient to work effectively with internal and external customers in a very positive and professional manner. Act as a good steward of company resources. Project Management experience, preferred. Document detailed records for equipment interface. Complete job reports with minimal supervision. Supervisory experience, preferred. Prefer the ability to work independently, complete projects with minimal supervision. Satisfactory current performance and work history. Prefer knowledge of electrical equipment, shop tools. Knowledge or related experience in prepping units for disposal following proper environmental disposal procedures. Hazmat 8 hour course, First Aid/CPR, AED, OSHA 10 & OSHA 30, MSHA training preferred.
