Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a MAINTENANCE WORKER HELPER without more than normal supervision. Must be able to perform the majority of the following routine duties, working from easily understood written and oral directions: carpentry, painting, plumbing, metal work, concrete work, mechanical maintenance and grounds keeping for grounds, structures, fixtures, utilities and equipment, without more than normal supervision. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical Effort: Exerts heavy physical effort in doing such tasks as frequently lifting and moving objects weighing under 45 pounds unassisted, obtains assistance or uses appropriate equipment or safety devices when lifting and moving heavy objects greater than 45 pounds. Physical dexterity is needed to handle tools and work around machinery or equipment. Working Conditions: Work is generally performed outdoors in all extremes of weather, in and over water, in wildland vegetation, in flood control and building structures. Hazards include heat, cold, dust, insect bites and stings, injurious vegetation, electric shock, drowning, work around machinery and heavy equipment, noise, vibration, falls from ladders and high work surfaces, and toxic chemicals. Work requires heavy lifting, continuous standing, walking, or stooping in all extremes of weather, including under wet and muddy conditions on steep or uneven terrain. Work requires special care to avoid injuries.
