Position: Maintenance Tech Department: Facilities Position Status: Part Time JOB SUMMARY The Facilities Maintenance Technician 1 is responsible for the execution of Facilities Maintenance work orders as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor/Program Director. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Essential functions are duties, which are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists. An individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. 1. Responsible for timely, safe, and proper execution of work orders as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor/Program Director. 2. Competent and willing to advance education in all aspects of facility maintenance to ensure a safe environment for all staff and clients of the agency. 3. Monitors safety and operating conditions at all agency sites by performing site inspections and reporting findings back to department leadership. 4. Maintains effective record keeping of maintenance performed utilizing department tools such as Excel spreadsheets, facility auditing software, and Google sheets. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center. 5. Performs any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director. COMPETENCIES 1. General knowledge in remodeling/repair/and hand tool usage. 2.. Ability in the area of effective communication, documentation, interpersonal skills, and decision making. 3. Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision. 4. Understanding of safe work practices at all times including daily completion of safety reviews and job hazard analysis forms with ability to perform duties accordingly. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE 1. Experience in remodeling/repair/and hand tool usage. * Offers of employment are contingent on the successful completion of drug testing and background check.
