IL GATTOPARDO GROUP - hospitality group that operates Il Gattopardo, The Leopard, Mozzarella and Vino r estaurants and Il Gattopardo Catering - is looking for an experienced accountant / in house bookkeeper, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ideal candidate must be able to support day-to-day financial activities of the company including producing accurate financial records, assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements and other accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Support the CFO in the day-to-day procedures to record, summarize, and report all operational, administrative, and financial transactions; Record, control and balance general ledger accounts; Conduct detailed expense analysis of budget to actual variance review; Verify daily cash, check and credit deposits to POS system; Bank reconciliation; File sales tax and track all governmental requirements; Assist with annual budget preparation; Control inventory cost; Assist in year-end closing and interaction with outside auditors and tax preparers; Entry of weekly payroll (ADP Workforce) and human resources functions, such as onboard employees, insurance and benefits. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is strongly preferred; 2+ years of accounting experience; Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and able to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations; Deep working knowledge of Quickbooks, Office 365, ADP Workforce ; Knowledge of Toast POS; Strong numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills; Highly organized and detailed oriented.
