Better Hospitality Group (BHG) is the operating group behind three of Washington, D.C.'s most cherished neighborhood bar/restaurants: TAKODA in the capital's bustling Shaw neighborhood, Boardwalk Bar and Arcade on the waterfront at The Wharf, and our newest TAKODA location in the Navy Yard neighborhood across the street from Nationals Park. We are currently hiring for TAKODA in the Shaw neighborhood. BHG is the fastest growing bar/restaurant group in the Greater Washington region. Responsibilities Remove necessary plates while guests are still seated at the table Remove extra place settings at the table or provide additional settings as needed Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and consistency Remove anything dirty dishes from tables Perform opening and closing duties Positively helping other staff members to ensure a good team work environment Assist with running food to the appropriate tables Support bar staff by bringing them necessary materials during shift, preparing garnishes, and preparing batched cocktails. Essential physical responsibilities Constant standing/walking Constant reaching, turning, twisting Be able to lift or carry up to 30lbs This position receives the DC tipped minimum wage plus tips. On average the hourly combined rate is between $20-$30+ per hour.
