We also empower our people with Open Book Management and aim to have a lot of fun playing The Great Game of Business.Right now, we are inviting qualified candidates that are looking to challenge themselves to join TruCut' s productions supervision team as a Production -Shift Supervisor. We need someone on the first shift, which is Monday - Thursday (6AM - 4:30PM with overtime worked as needed on Fridays and Saturdays. Types of things you'll be doing.You'll be working hard on the production floor learning our manufacturing processes and working hand in hand with our many talented team members. It cannot be emphasized enough that this is a position that will require you to be on the floor. This is not a position for someone that wants to remain in the office and learn from a computer. As a shift supervisor, you'll be responsible for building strong relationships with our production team members while learning how we operate and the many different steps that go into our manufacturing process. We are known for our ability to adapt to our client demands while manufacturing quality parts and shipping those parts on time. Of course, you'll be supported by TruCut' s Quality, Purchasing and Engineering teams. You'll also need to partner with Production scheduling to understand how we operate and what jobs are scheduled to be run. You will be active within our Safety teams and be expected to provide sound leadership when it comes to safety and hazard recognition. Although accountants can be dry, stuffy and tell bad jokes, you'll also have to coordinate with them at least once a year to conduct a physical inventory.We strive to teach all employees to think like a business owner, so you'll need to utilize technical analysis and business acumen to make well-informed decisions impacting daily duties.Types of things you won't be doingDon't count on being a desk jockey all day. While many of your duties will involve using ERP system, you'll need to learn, understand, and interact with our products, people, and processes. This position requires the person to be very proactive in their duties by developing solutions to potential issues before they occur. We encourage everyone to show initiative and act. This applies not only to tasks at hand but also to your production team. You'll be successful if you work well cross-functionally, enabling the whole team to achieve exceptional outcomes. As a supervisor, you must act with empathy, integrity, and accountability.What we'd like from you.This is not for beginners (we have other positions for those!). Ideally, we'd prefer that you have a bachelor's degree in business or management with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a heavy manufacturing environment. No degree? We will be looking for at least ten years of experience combined with real world experience works fine, too. Also, be prepared to explain the theory or doctrine that you subscribe to, as it relates to production supervision and what you have done that has led to your previous success. We also offer a gainsharing program where you can earn up to a 13% bonus if the company achieves its annual financial goals. You'll automatically get a $25,000 company-funded life insurance policy as well. We pay for you to stay home on 8 holidays (9 if you're a veteran) and have paid time off as well.
