Nursery Buyer

Hittle Landscaping is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Nursery Buyer to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring efficient material procurement and effective inventory management, as well as fostering strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of purchasing practices and have relevant experience in the landscaping or related industry. Responsibilities * Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials required for landscaping projects, ensuring timely availability to meet project deadlines. * Monitor and manage inventory levels, conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy and optimize stock levels. * Maintain and expand relationships with existing vendors, negotiating terms and pricing to secure favorable deals. * Work closely with the Controller and other departments to align purchasing activities with project needs and company goals. * Prepare and maintain reports on purchasing activities, inventory status, and vendor performance. * Other duties as assigned by the Controller. Qualifications: * 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within the landscaping or a related industry preferred. * Familiarity with vendor management and purchasing practices, along with a solid understanding of inventory management principles. * Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. * Sense of urgency to complete tasks/requests. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with inventory management software is a plus.
