Project Manager I Apply now Job no: 504223 Work type: Full-Time Location: University City - Philadelphia, PA Categories: Drexel University, Dornsife School of Public Health Job Summary The Project Manager will provide support to Dr. Ana Martinez-Donate in the Community Health & Prevention Department. The Project Manager will work on two NIH-funded R01 grants. One of them is Project Migrante, an observatory of health and access to services among migrants traveling through the Mexico - U.S. border region. This project consists of a series of surveys dating back to 2009 that have gathered data on the health status, health behaviors, and contextual determinants of health among Mexican and other Latin American migrant flows converging on the Norther Mexican border region. Different surveys have emphasized HIV risk, chronic disease, mental health, and substance use. This project is led by Dr. Ana Martinez-Donate, Professor of Community Health and Prevention at Drexel University (). The second project is CRISOL Mente, a community-engaged, multi-level intervention to reduce mental health disparities among Latino communities in Philadelphia, PA. The intervention includes a lay health worker (LHW)-based component to connect community members to free, culturally tailored mental health services at two community clinics; an LHW-driven social marketing campaign to increase awareness and reduce stigma related to mental health; and coalition building activities to strengthen the capacity of Latino-serving organizations providing mental health services to Latino communities in the area. This project is co-led by Dr. Ana Martinez-Donate and Dr. Mariana Lazo, Associate Research Professor at the Dornsife School of Public Health, Drexel University. The hybrid position will include remote and in-office hours varying to meet project's needs. Essential Functions * Serves as liaison between Principal Investigator, co-investigators, community stakeholders, and participants. * Take leadership role in developing study protocols, managing the detailed operations of projects, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, cultivating close relationships with community partner organizations, and drafting/editing manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journal, and managing budgets. * Helps with management and provides guidance for study team, including staff and student research assistants. * Develop data collection instruments, manage data, and facilitate data sharing for analysis with internal and external investigators. * Monitor study timelines and establish goals/metrics for achieving objectives (e.g., recruitment, enrollment, etc). * Perform quality assurance assessments, report identified issues to Principal Investigator, work with team to establish accurate data entry and capture. * Work with outside vendors and contractors to establish scopes of work, set up contracts and payment, purchase orders, and purchase study supplies. * Oversee management and reporting of adverse events. * Participate in data collection including participant recruitment and screening; obtaining informed consent; conducting interviews and follow-up as needed including at community partner sites. Prepares reports and makes presentations on study results to community partners, co-investigators, data safety monitoring teams, and funders. * Prepares, submits, and manages relevant documents for institutional review boards at internal and external sites * Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications * A master's degree in public health or another social services-related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience is required. * Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information. * 3 years of relevant experience is required. Preferred Qualifications * Experience working in with Latino populations, migrant health, and/or community engaged research preferred. Location * University City - Philadelphia, PA Additional Information This position is classified as exempt grade k. Compensation for this grade ranges from a minimum of $54,630.00 to a maximum of $81,940.00 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
