Center Bar, part of the Restaurant Collection at the Deutsche Bank Center, is seeking a cocktail Server/Bartender for immediate hire. A qualified candidate must have 2+ years NYC experience, must be service oriented, bartending skills a plus, and must have an innate sense of hospitality. The candidate must be able to work quickly and cleanly while maintaining high service standards. SUMMARY The Cocktail Server is responsible for delivering excellence in guest service by developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service, anticipating and delivering guests' needs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Maintain and ensure the overall cleanliness and safety of work area/assigned station and the establishment. Perform opening and closing procedures. Ensure that all procedures concerning bar tabs and the transfer of tables are met. Perform accurate cash/credit handling and POS procedures in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Up sell food and beverage menu items. Must have extensive knowledge of a variety of alcoholic beverages, must retain and maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items. Check identification for proof of age when required. Monitor guest's drinks and anticipates guest's needs. Provide food service as appropriate. Develop relationships with guests in order to provide personalized service. Resolve guest complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Respond to guests' requests in an accurate and timely manner, creating a positive outcome that will result in a memorable experience. Proper handling of VIP's, recognize repeat guests and protect their privacy and confidentiality. Ensure sanitation fundamentals and Health Department requirements that are set forth by local, state and federal regulations, are in compliance.
