The Florentine is looking to hire the best talent in the city to support our high-profile restaurant! The Host/Hostess position responsibilities include; welcoming all guests with a warm sincere greeting, escorting guests to a particular table, answering phones promptly and politely, acknowledging and thanking guests as they leave, and always presenting a professional image. All hosts will also be responsible for the following: Ensuring all guests' satisfaction with their dining experience, to meet and/or exceed their needs. Assist with setting the pace of service, special needs, and general guest satisfaction. Reacting quickly to any special requests, VIP guests, and observed service bottlenecks, getting management involved as needed. Ensure smooth functioning of the desk. Welcome the guest to the restaurant with a warm sincere greeting. Monitor all waiting times and minimize guest's waits. Escort guests to a particular table. Answer phones promptly and politely without sounding hurried. Requirements: One year minimum of previous restaurant experience Able to multi-task while keeping an organized work environment Positive attitude and ability to work well with peers Weekday and weekend availability Experience with OpenTable preferred, but not required Why work with us??
