SUMMARYPerforms a variety of duties relating to equipment maintenance, repair, & optimization in a facility specializing in sauces, dressings, marinades, and other fluid consumable goods. These duties include but are not limited to maintenance and optimization of current equipment, maintenance of overall plant and building infrastructure, provide technical support to other departments (i.e. sales, production, QA, and R&D), managing spare parts inventory and associated vendors, and overseeing work order execution, completion, and inspection when performed by outside contractors while adhering to all policies & procedures established by Signature Sauces, FDA, USDA, and/or any outside auditing programs/companies and maintaining a safe and ergonomic working environment.Benefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee discount at our sister company Stancato's Italian Restaurant Health insuranceHealth Savings AccountCompany Paid Life Insurance5 Days Paid Time Off2 Paid Sick Days Paid HolidaysPaid Down Maintenance Days Retirement planVision insuranceFree Catered Lunch Every ShiftCompany Provided Lockers & Lock Free Laundered UniformsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Able to operate, start up, shut down, assemble, tear down, and change over all production equipment.Able to trouble shoot equipment break downs and develop corrective actions to avoid future down time.Maintain and execute preventative maintenance schedule for all production and warehouse equipment.Maintenance and troubleshooting of basic electrical systems utilizing VFD's, potentiometers, e-stops (and associated hardware), and overload protection (thermal & magnetic) that may or may not interface with a PLC or other HMI.Maintenance and troubleshooting of basic pneumatic systems utilizing regulators, pneumatic->electric converters, lubrication applicators, actuators, 4-way manifolds, solenoids, and needle valves that may or may not interface with a PLC or other HMI.Responsible for collecting and analyzing data relating to equipment performance, breakdowns, repairs, and utility usage.Assist in training new line operators or cross training current production staff and supervisors.Ability to operate an electric tow motor, electric pallet jack, and scissor liftAbility to read and interpret equipment operation & service manuals.Knowledge and understanding of GMP's, SSOP's, Lock Out/Tag Out, USDA regulations, and FDA regulations.Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a team oriented environment.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCETwo to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be knowledgeable in pneumatic, electric, & steam systems & their associated components, liquid pumps (PD & centrifugal), PLC's, HMI's, electric motors, and gearboxes.LANGUAGE SKILLSAble to read, analyze, and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, electric and pneumatic schematics, general business periodicals, and or governmental regulations. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, staff and managers.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical and mechanical concepts such as probability, electricity, pneumatics, steam, and weights and measures.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to regularly stand, stoop, kneel and walk. The employee must frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. The work environment is quick paced in close quarters. Exposure to heat from equipment and products is frequent. Exposure to cool temperatures form coolers/freezers is occasional.
