Qualifications This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Records & Information Management Specialist, 0308-13 positions within the Census Bureau in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: extensive knowledge of records management laws, regulations, rules, dicies and procedures, principles and concepts of information governance of various phases of Records and Information anagement (RIM), and the complete records process and content management framework that supports the entire life cycle of agency records; knowledge of planning, scheduling, and conducting projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations for the Records Management Program; experience providing policy and governance on the use of records management tools to ensure best practices and agency compliance with Federal statutes. Education: Education cannot substitute experience at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
