Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, service-oriented Assistant General Manager with a passion for hospitality to join our Las Vegas team. POSITION SUMMARY: The AGM assists General Manager in handling all aspects of the restaurant operation to maintain and develop a high level of guest experience. All duties are to be performed in accordance within departmental and Bellagio policies, practices and procedures, as well as Sapgo Brand Standard POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Demonstrate SHOW basics for Guest Satisfaction Complete knowledge of all products and specifications. Develop and implement strategic plan and vision for the division consistent with the Spago and Bellagio strategic vision. Provide leadership in the development and monitoring of fiscal budgets, division operations, and marketing strategies to produce both short term and long-term profitability for Bellagio and Spago Las Vegas. Provide leadership and direction in the development, execution and measurement of guest service standards within the division, consistent with the company's core service standards and brand attributes. Direct the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure a competitive position in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality/gaming environment. Provide leadership for the division's Human Resources responsibilities to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the company's diversity commitment. Establish accountability processes for division; ensures compliance with the company's status quo third party representation philosophy, company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements. Establish positive guest relations with all patrons of the restaurant. Maintains a rapport with guests; complies with all requests and meets guest expectations to build a positive reputation and return business. Respond to unusual events or circumstances requiring high-level management attention and informs the VP and Executive Director of Food and Beverage, Director of Restaurants, and Director of Beverage of situations requiring his/her attention. Performs other restaurant side duties as requested by management and leadership team. Follows and executes the MGM Resorts, Spago, and Bellagio service standards as outlined in training. Successful completion of Restaurant Training Program and testing is required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Required: Bachelor's degree in related field, and/or equivalent work experience in Food and Beverage At least 4 years of experience in the hospitality industry and previous experience in scheduling and staffing. At least 2 year of management experience in a high-volume or fine dining restaurant, preferably in a casino environment. High school diploma or equivalent Effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms Preferred: Background and knowledge of fine dining/ gourmet/ and style of service Spirits and Wine certification preferred Working knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement Previous experience working in a similar resort setting CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Food Handler card Alcohol Awareness card Proof of eligibility to work in the United States KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: . Broad understanding of Food and Beverage division, budgeting, profit and loss statement, labor costs, food and beverage costs, and operation expenses. Ability to access all areas of the facility and travel off property when representing. Ability to lead and mentor a team. Professional appearance and demeanor. Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms. Knowledge of Spago menu including meats, poultry, seafood and its production is necessary. Knowledge of Spago food preparation, including but not limited to beef and seafood as it pertains to the restaurant's selection and the sourcing of each product. Ability to identify / assess problems and situations, refer to applicable policies and guidelines, identify practical creative options and determine / develop / recommend appropriate courses of action. Ability to communicate, orally and/or in writing, by providing and obtaining information of a complex, technical or sensitive nature, effectively, clearly, correctly, concisely, completely, logically, in a timely manner, and at an appropriate level and format, while maintaining confidentiality. Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet and to manipulate them from heights which may require the use of a foot stool.
