What we can offer you; * 25 days of annual leave * Access to our company pension scheme * Discounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers * Access to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to * One paid days leave every year to volunteer and support your community * Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential What you'll be doing; * Be responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant supervision of the Transfer Station and HWRRC at the facility * Ensure contractual off take arrangements are met and material is dispatched as per waste flow requirements and environmental permit. * Ensure the Transfer Station and HWRRC are appropriately staffed by competent persons as required to ensure that sufficient capacity is maintained for all material streams such that the transfer stations are open and available for the deposit of all waste types at all times during the required opening hours. * Reporting on monthly data analysis, duty stock loads and populating any other reports that may be beneficial to the Disposal Managers * Customers * Maintain and evolve a partnership approach with officers of the council and act as a key contact. * Ensure clear and effective communications are maintained with all team members and 1-2-1 reviews are carried out along with identifying staff development * Act as a deputy for Operations Manager during annual leave and other absence from site. What we're looking for; * Full UK driving licence * COTC / CMS (Certificate of Technical Competence) for hazardous waste treatment and transfer (Desirable or to be obtained within 6 months of recruitment) * Health and Safety Knowledge and Experience * Experience within the waste management industry in a supervisory role, with particular experience in treatment processes * IT Literate * Good organisation skills * Strong Communication Skills * Ability to influence and persuade differing levels of personnel * Numerate and analytical What's next?
