The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Radiology is seeking a Clerk III to, serve as a liaison for the Department of Radiology Resident Overnight Reading Room. This position is responsible for prompt communication of patient and examination information. To serve as the first point of contact, in person or by phone, and to coordinate and ensure efficient workflow processes are followed in an efficient and accurate manner. Duties: * Responsible for effectively communicating patient and exam information to the Radiologist from referring providers, technologists, and other healthcare personnel * Assist the Radiologist by making phone calls and locating ordering providers for communication from the Radiologist when reading the studies * Review EPIC reading work lists and Status Reports to assist Radiologists in the reading workflow * Handle orders from providers for external Radiology exams * Troubleshoot external image transfer issues * Effectively communicate and assist with securing outside imaging for urgent/emergent transfers * First level troubleshooting for PACS related issues * Assist with special projects as assigned by staff * Must have the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a very busy reading room setting The information contained herein is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities required of individuals performing this job. Rotations: Work hours may be adjusted depending on departmental needs. Minimum Eligibility Requirements * Any combination of related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education, and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to two years of full-time employment.
