Part Time Laundry Technician-Methodist West

Overview 4 days on / 4 days off 9am-2pm including weekend rotation at Methodist West The Laundry Worker supports the delivery of services to UnityPoint Health-Des Moines (UPH-DM) and outside clinics through the efficient and timely delivery and management of linens. Utilizes LinenHelper to track and maintain all par locations and deliveries. (F) * Meets or exceeds standards of compliance for all accreditation and regulatory bodies. * This position may be assigned a specific mission to address in an emergency situation to assist in disaster response and recovery as part of the UPH-DM Hospital Emergency Incident Command System. Situations of a critical nature may require an individual to perform multiple tasks until additional support can be obtained. * Performs functions other than described due to extenuating circumstances. * Maintain a clean orderly environment Qualifications Minimum Requirements Preferred or Specialized Education: * Must be at least 16 years of age * High school diploma/equivalent or in high school/equivalent program Experience: * Must read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently * Skills may be acquired "on the job." License(s)/Certification(s): * Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Must be able to work with minimal supervision and assume responsibility for timely completion of assigned functions. * Must be able to perform simple math calculations. * Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. * Must be able to communicate effectively in person or on the phone with people of diverse professional, educational, and cultural backgrounds. * Must be able to identify problems and conflicts and work proactively towards resolution.
