Issues backcountry use permits in accordance with the park's management plan, conducts interpretive programs and demonstrations, completes work using available computer software programs, provides emergency medical treatment to visitors and employees, assists in maintaining the first aid equipment and supplies used in a district/sub-district of the park, monitors routine film and special park use permits, and as an occasional duty, the ranger performs tasks associated with the operations of front-line information center. This is a drug tested position. (Related fields of study include natural resource management, natural sciences, earth sciences, history, archaeology, anthropology, park and recreation management, law enforcement/police science, social sciences, museum sciences, business administration, public administration, behavioral sciences, sociology, or other closely related subjects pertinent to the management and protection of natural and cultural resources.).
