Forklift DriverOur client is seeking a qualified Fork lift operator to join their expanding team. The qualified candidate be able to contribute right away! The Fork lift operator will assist the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator in achieving an efficient and damage-free cross-docking process & trailer staging for the client customers. This position reports directly to the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator.**Must be able to work varying shifts that may consist of days, nights, weekends, holidays, based on customer demand. **Requirements for this position include but are not limited to the following:Complete the safe unloading and loading of trailers, meeting customer specified loading patters, without damage to equipment, product, or the warehouse.Open, tie, close trailer/container doors; Open, close dock doors; Operate dock levelers.Accurately match numbers & letters, confirming the correct trailers/containers are being loaded/unloaded. Check bills of lading to ensure product is correct.Perform documented Q&A checks on product including visual inspection of pallets, boxes, and goods contained therein. Q&A checks may include pulping or peeling produce.Perform documented Q&A checks on containers/trailers to ensure proper function, temperature and condition for the transportation of food-grade items.Perform yard checks, confirming and recording unit numbers, condition of tires, fuel levels, temperatures, and any other relevant data.Inspect equipment being operated daily - forklift and/or jockey truck - for safe function and proper maintenance.Be available to respond to scheduled and unscheduled customer needs outside of normal business hours.Keep the yard and warehouse clean, safe, and organized, ensuring it meets OSHA requirements.Take initiative, ownership, and responsibility at client site. Must look to continually develop and improve systems, procedures, processes, and efficiencies.Carry out other related duties as needed.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to safely work year-round indoors and outdoors in various weather, withstand noise associated with dock work, exposure to dust, fumes, etc. Must be able to safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery.Must be able to work variable shifts that may consist of days, nights, weekends, holidays, and straight time after 40 hours, based on customer demand.Must be trained in occupational hazards and standard safety procedures.Must be able to push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally, climb, reach, bend, squat, and stoop to accomplish the essential job functions.Must ensure attendance and punctuality within company standards.Must comply with all corporate, local, state, and federal work & safety rules Join Us.
