Field Engineer PLEASE APPLY IMMEDIATELY AS WE ARE LOOKING TO FILL THIS ROLE ASAP Job Description We are seeking a diligent and motivated Field Engineer with a Civil Engineering or Geology degree. The role requires the ability to travel to PA, NJ, and conduct material testing. Responsibilities include testing samples from job sites such as soil, concrete, asphalt, and rebar, transporting samples with their identifying documentation to the lab, and submitting data and observations in written and digital reports to the project manager daily. You will also perform inspections on reinforced concrete, structural masonry, spray-applied fireproofing, and roofing. This position involves field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel). Effective communication with project managers, engineering technicians, and client representatives is essential. The role also includes maintaining and cleaning equipment, vehicles, and work areas, assisting with scheduling and dispatch of technicians, adhering to strict safety standards, and progressively taking on more responsibility. Pre-task planning and reporting safety issues to management are also critical aspects of this role. Work Environment This is an employee-owned company where everyone shares a stake. The role includes continued safety training and opportunities for progress within the company. You will work outside in various conditions on construction job sites, with a provided hard hat. Typical hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime. Much of the work will be performed individually, with daily check-ins with the project manager. The dress code includes work boots, jeans, and a t-shirt.
