Summary: Under the general direction of the Inside Sales Director, this individual is responsible for uncovering LAPP opportunities while promoting LAPP products which results in the securing of specification position and increasing sales. This role requires a high level of outbound calling with accompanying independent research and documentation to ensure prospects are viable and calls are thorough. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - include the following. Other duties may be assigned.• Execute a high level of outbound calling to develop increased market awareness of LAPP products and services.• Aggressively seek new accounts and project opportunities through prospecting within the targeted and focused vertical markets and industries.• Promote the sale of LAPP products to focus markets, customers, Engineering firms, EPC firms, machine builders, and contractors/installers.• Develop and maintain a high level of proficiency in all aspects of product knowledge, sales practices, and customer service policies and processes.• Identify and initiate opportunities to build relationships with end users, OEM, Engineering firms, EPCs, consultants, and contractors/installers.• Develop and maintain efficient work practices and a cadence of communication with the Inside Sales Director to ensure alignment and follow through on objectives. • Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with cross-functional departments in all LAPP companies in addition to the Inside and Outside Sales organization.• Assist in the selection of appropriate products for the end-use application if needed.• Maintain positive relationships with existing customers.• Hunter mentality- self-driven, active listener with great documentation skillsCompetencies:• Self-directed with high level of self-initiative and a sense of urgency in completing tasks with detail and accuracy in work product.• Must have excellent communication skills and possess the ability to communicate persuasively and build strong relationships.• Demonstrates a relentless drive and proactive approach in identifying and pursuing new leads, opportunities, and potential clients with a hunter mentality. • Must possess strong administrative and documentation skills. • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. • Ability to communicate and collaborate with other departments within the organization.• Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.• Demonstrates knowledge of the market and our competition. Uses this knowledge to one's advantage. • Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and efficiency.• Applies feedback to performance.• Upholds organizational values.• Adheres to company policies and procedures and maintains a professional appearance.QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a college or university program; or minimum of five years of inside selling experience in the wire and cable industry or related experience and/or training in a related field(s) or equivalent combination of education and experience. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: May require occasional domestic travel to customers or trade shows. WORK LOCATION: Incumbents of this position whose residence is in NJ will be required to work a hybrid schedule (3x per week in office- Tues & Wed +1). This position is located in the US within the Eastern time zones. Travel to the Florham Park, NJ office may be required ad hoc when business demands.COMPUTER SKILLS: Individuals in this role should possess a robust working knowledge of CRM SAP and Microsoft Office365 Suite, with particular proficiency in using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Additionally, this position requires a proven track record of success in utilizing Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Proficiency in the English language both verbal and written is required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.COMPENSATION: After thorough market analysis, LAPP takes many factors into consideration when determining base salary such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, etc. of the candidate. The base salary range for this role is $65,000-70,000 plus participation in LAPP's bonus plan.
