The Total Productive Maintenance Technician is responsible for developing, instituting, and maintaining a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program for the factory. Coordinate with the plant maintenance and operations teams to lead & mentor TPM events within the factory to improve equipment and process performance. Position Total Productive Maintenance Technician Location USA, Selmer, TN How You'll Create Possibilities Lead and execute the Total Production Maintenance (TPM) system and culture for the plant. * Optimize and manage the PdM program in the plant, which includes vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, airborne ultrasound, and circuit analysis. * Provide technical expertise and training on the use of the predictive technologies, as well as, the predictive strategies which need to be implemented. * Determine the critical equipment and systems that will be monitored on a predictive basis vs those that will use time based PM's or condition based PM's. * Monitors performance of the equipment after predictive technologies are implemented and provides reports and updates, as needed. * Drive the company standards within the factory and serve as a change agent for continuous improvement throughout the operation. * Provide coaching, mentoring and training on the application of TPM methodology, culture, and tools in one-on-one and group settings to reinforce knowledge and skills attained during TPM training. * Expand TPM success by collaborating with TPM peers to identify and implement best practices into the central TPM program and standards. * Influence a variety of plant functional groups and positions within the plant to grow and evolve the TPM culture. * Provide coaching and training on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Visual Management, 5S, Autonomous Maintenance, PDCA Principles, Root Cause & Problem-Solving Techniques Lead TPM events within the factory and train the equipment operators and supervisors how to maintain equipment and propose continuous improvement ideas * Lead a cross functional team on TPM baseline equipment restoration activity monthly events * Own TPM Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Operator Check List (creation, training, implementation, and compliance) * Create opportunities for employees to learn through their jobs and within the classroom. Make recommendations regarding the enhancement or development of training programs. * Provide status reports regarding the execution of TPM activities. * Monitor equipment performance trend data and provide information to maintenance and operation teams * Monitor open work order status and drive closure compliance * Update Plant TPM score card results * Provide monthly activity summary What You'll Bring to Our Team Position Requirement * 10+ years hands on experience working with manufacturing equipment, manufacturing processes and or equipment maintenance * Knowledge of various maintenance and reliability processes including maintenance planning and scheduling, lubrication management, vibration analysis, thermal analysis, root cause failure analysis and FMEA, criticality analysis, statistical analysis * Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills * Advanced computer skills * Ability to lead a group effectively Ability to develop and train others on TPM, Maintenance Strategies (CBM, PDM, PM) and Equipment Reliability Fundamentals Minimum Qualifications: * 10+ years of equivalent experience in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment * Knowledge of various maintenance and reliability processes including Maintenance planning and scheduling using a computerized maintenance work order system (CMMS), lubrication management, vibration analysis, thermal analysis, root cause failure analysis and FMEA, criticality analysis, statistical analysis. 1. Preferred Qualifications: * 15+ years hands on experience working with manufacturing equipment or maintenance processes in a manufacturing environment * Proven leadership skills and record of accomplishments showing business impact. Working Conditions: * Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, work shoes/boots. * Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. * Physical demands of the position include: Constant reaching at waist level; frequent handling and lifting of parts and equipment; frequent standing, walking, reaching at shoulder level, reaching at knee level, pushing/pulling, grasping, pinching, fine motor dexterity, and wrist flexion/extension; occasional sitting, reaching overhead, reaching at floor level, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs/ladders, pivoting, twisting, shoulder circumduction, and neck flexion/extension/rotation. Handling and lifting parts/equipment - maximum 50 lbs., carrying 40 lbs., and pushing/pulling 75 lbs. * Demands of the position include working at heights and working in loud/noisy environment * Any other tasks as instructed. * Must have valid driver's license and be able to drive. * Provide own set of hand tools to do required industrial maintenance work. * Must endure occasional heat, cold, heights, nuisance dust/noise, dirt, and water to perform some required maintenance. * Works in vicinity of chemicals * Exposed to noise levels from 60-90 dba. * Exposed to numerous potential physical hazards as found in plants. * Some travel may be required (up to 10%) Our Culture At GE Appliances, creativity meets passion and conversations lead to exceptional outcomes and experiences.
