We are actively seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Principal, Strategic Partnerships to support the growth of our Agricultural sustainability footprint. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of strategic enterprise collaborations, driving the integration of sustainability within agricultural sectors, ensuring alignment with our growth strategy, and fostering meaningful relationships with key stakeholders.Flexibility with location in the US; based on the targeted market segments of this role, we are particularly interested in candidates based in or near major cities such as Minneapolis, Kansas City, Chicago, St. Louis and Omaha.*Please note that we are seeking to fill a single position.Travel: Flexibility to travel approximately 30% of the time.Farmers Edge is a global leader in agriculture technology! Our Team Members are passionate, enterprising individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth work environment!Why choose Life at the Edge?Flexibility, work-life balance, and a generous personal care time programCompetitive base salary, annual bonuses, and other incentive programsTerrific total rewards that include vacation time above the statutory minimum, company co-paid benefits, options for retirement savings and much more!As a Principal, Strategic Partnerships (Sustainability) your key responsibilities will be:Strategic Growth Development:Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and align an enterprise-focused growth strategy with company goals.Focus on revenue generation and customer satisfaction within relevant B2B market segments.Pipeline and Partnership Development:Develop, maintain, and expand a pipeline of potential strategic partners for managed services.Lead engaging business meetings with prospective partners, identify key challenges, and position the company's solutions as a remedy.Conduct detailed feasibility and ROI analysis for proposed partnerships.Participate in the development, preparation, and negotiation of partnership agreements and renewals.Performance Monitoring and Account Management:Manage accounts of signed partners.Regularly monitor and report on partnership performance metrics.Adapt strategies based on market dynamics and the evolving needs of partners.Industry and Stakeholder Engagement:Attend trade shows and conferences in relevant market segments.Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on partnership progress and milestones.Sustainability Focus:Develop strategies and programs to engage customers, partners, and stakeholders in sustainability efforts aligned with agricultural value chains.Establish and measure sustainability metrics and KPIs to demonstrate commercial value.Monetize capabilities related to Carbon Intensity scoring, Carbon Inset programs, Scope 3 emissions reductions, and USDA Climate Smart grants.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesPost-secondary education in a related field, preferably with a concentration in Sustainability or sustainable Agriculture.Minimum 5+ years progressive Business Development experience in Technology/Managed Services, IT Consulting, preferably in Sustainability, Agriculture or Agri-Food.Expert knowledge of agricultural industry stewardship and global sustainability challengesStrong knowledge of the agriculture and food value chains and the ability to identify, establish and grow meaningful relationships to address sustainability issues and opportunities of mutual interestStrong knowledge of Carbon Registries, Protocols and MRV system capabilitiesProven ability to develop and manage B2B partnerships through the sales cycle.Experience in navigating purchasing cycles and technology deals.Skilled in designing and closing effective partnership contracts and agreements.Live Life at the Edge!Farmers Edge is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion, and collaborating with team members and candidates to identify and remove barriers to employment.
