Scope of Position + The Service Extension Field Representative will be responsible for the management of running a successful kettle fundraising season with volunteers running the Service Units in Southern Idaho, Easter and NW Oregon. + This Seasonal Job is a Remote Job. Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Licenses and Certifications. Specific Requirements. + Run a successful kettle campaign at the Southern Idaho, Easter and NW Oregon Units (A list will be provided). Knowledge required. + Use a computer effectively in the working environment; use standard office machines (e.g., copier, multi-line telephone, labeler, laminating machine). + Keyboarding experience, proficient in Word, Excel, Publisher, Canva, and PowerPoint. + Use traditional office practices and procedures; read, write, and speak the English language to express ideas and communicate professionally and effectively. + Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Skill required. + Must possess strong written and oral communication skills to interface effectively with individuals and groups whether inside or outside of the Salvation Army system. + Highly organized and a team player. + Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (primarily Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint) software to manage multiple calendars correctly, manage and create documents, reports, and presentations. + Have knowledge of HP software and computer operations; use virtual meeting platforms; use basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide). + Establish effective working relationships; attention to detail; and operate a motor vehicle. Essential Duties And Responsibilities + Recruit, lead, train, and supervise the work and/or resources of + Run a successful kettle campaign at the Southern Idaho, Easter and NW Oregon Units (A list will be provided). + Plan, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate all fund-raising efforts and activities in each town to reach fund raising goals-this includes kettle campaign + Examine cash flow to insure adherence to policy and unit + Cultivate major donors by working with the Development Department to identify and build local relationships + Develop and maintain positive relationships with + Be the point of contact for The Salvation Army in public relations and community + Compile and enter departmental monthly statistics in statistical database + Scan and enter invoices in AP Workflow + File original invoices appropriately Qualifications + High school diploma or G.E.D. required, with an associate's degree + In lieu of diploma or degree, five years' experience working with Salvation Army programs supervisory and organizational skills necessary + Work with minimal supervision and able to make managerial decisions within the scope of Salvation Army policies and procedures. + Knowledge of volunteer recruitment methods and practices Miscellaneous + All employees recognize The Salvation Army is a church and agree that they will do nothing as an employee of The Salvation Army to undermine its religious mission + The Western Territory Handbook for employees will be your guide to all personal practices and procedures + In any position with The Salvation Army, it is impossible to predict the many requests and assignments that can and will be made on an employee.
