Job SummaryThe Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor supervises the performance of housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure the cleanliness of the Community and the availability of clean laundry. Acts as a working supervisor filling in during employee's days off, staffing shortage and ordering supplies. Duties and Responsibilities:Comply with the Community's personnel, safety, and corporate policies and proceduresReport witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately to the Executive Director, RCC or Unit ManagerTreat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with respect and dignityMaintain the confidentiality of all resident and family informationReport to work on time and as scheduledAssures areas with carpeting are vacuumed and tile floors are swept and mopped on a regular basisAssures tile floors are stripped and waxed per scheduleAssures that resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned on a routine basisAssures that all trash is emptied daily, including cigarette ashtraysAssures that all common areas are cleaned on a regular basisAssures dining areas are cleaned after each mealAssures miscellaneous items are cleaned on a regular basis. This includes but not limited to light fixtures, vents, windows, blinds, handrails, pictures, and nursing equipmentAssures that laundry (towels, linens, privacy curtains and personal clothing) is available, clean and in good conditionAssures that laundry equipment is kept in good working order (lint is disposed of and machines are free of debris) and the laundry area is cleanOrders housekeeping and laundry supplies and keeping sufficient linen inventory available to staffAssures personal and staff compliance to Residents' RightsResponsible for housekeeping and laundry departmentsAssure compliance to all State and Federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials and fire safetyMaintains resident confidentiality at all timesJob Requirements:Must have basic computer skillsIf required to operate a motor vehicle for business purposes, must successfully complete the requirements contained in Company's Motor Vehicles policyMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageMust be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessaryMust be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situationsMust be able to perform the essential position functions of the job with, or without reasonable accommodationEmployee is required to use a transfer/gait belt or to obtain the assistance of another employee when attempting to assist residents when lifting or carrying objects in excess of 25 pounds. The employee must be aware that during the normal, routine performance of the essential functions, some of the following body movements may occur naturally, although they may not be a requirement of the job
