Position Description Title: Process Lead - Supervisor Department: Operations Location: Carbondale Immediate Supervisor: Manufacturing Manager Status: Non-Exempt Position Purpose: Extensive knowledge of process and process equipment. Possess technical, systems and continuous improvement capabilities with ability to lead process related safety, quality, delivery and productivity step change improvements. Lead by influencing. Principle Accountabilities * Act as a change agent to improve the safety culture and provide leadership to eliminate safety hazards. * Responsible for employee adherence to defined safety policies, cardinal rules and corporate behavior guidelines. * Establish customer driven work environment focused on producing high quality and cost-effective products on time. * Coordinate with other team members to ensure that process and equipment modifications/improvements are aligned with safe work practice. * Create standard work instructions, critical checks and other visual management tools for shop floor implementation. * Develop associate's knowledge base of machine operation and performance standards. * Deploy leader standard work to ensure hour by hour cadence, production reporting and tier one board updates. Communicate tier one performance during Gemba walk. * Monitor process performance for safety, quality, delivery and productivity. Participate and/or lead problem solving/pillar teams to achieve desired performance levels by improving process for sustainable step change or break-through. Lead teams by positively influencing associates. * Provide guidance for day to day challenges or obstacles that prevent the achievement of safety, quality, delivery or productivity goals. * Support IPS across the site. * Identify equipment reliability needs and coordinate with Maintenance to improve overall equipment effectiveness. * ISO auditor and related duties. * Related tasks as requested by supervisor.
