Summary As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Large Bank Field Examiner) with emphasis in Retail Credit, you will participate in the planning/conducting of examinations in retail credit activities, to include mortgage banking, preparing reports, and presenting findings/recommendations to senior managers. Large Bank Supervision Marlton, NJ- Relocation Incentive or Alternate location available for this location Responsibilities As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Large Bank Field Examiner) with emphasis in Retail Credit, you will: Identify systemic risks and trends through evaluation of retail credit bank activities and operations to include mortgage banking. Develop supervisory strategies including plans to effect corrective action and programs to monitor bank progress using a risk-based approach. Identify, evaluate, and resolve problems or issues related to retail credit and mortgage banking matters. Provide leadership, training and instruction to other examiners; manage and evaluate the work of team members during supervisory activities. Conduct or participate in discussions with senior bank management on examination findings, conclusions and recommendations. Develop and maintain communications within and external to the OCC regarding bank supervision matters or issues. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time. Qualifications You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-V band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: Leading retail credit examinations or reviews consisting of a variety of consumer credit products and services in a financial institution to identify and mitigate risks. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Education Education cannot be used to qualify for this position. Additional Information This position is included in the bargaining unit. This position may be filled in an alternate location (any U.S. location of the OCC) provided the location is cost effective, operationally efficient, and complies with the standards contained in the Alternative Location Arrangements PPM 3110-53. If in an alternative location, when traveling to Marlton, NJ, you will be expected to be onsite at the bank location no later than 1:30 pm on the first workday, departing no earlier than noon on the last workday and there should be no travel on Sunday unless there is a business need approved by your authorizing official in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and/or OCC FTR Supplement. Relocation incentive approved for the Marlton, NJ location: one-time payment of 25% of selectee's base pay or 30% of selectee's base pay paid out in installments over three years. To qualify for the relocation incentive, you must relocate to Marlton, NJ. If selected, you will be required to sign a three-year service agreement. Note: Relocation between Marlton, NJ and New York, NY is not eligible.
