As a Project Manager within the Project Management Office, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to successfully execute various types of projects, including new product development, modifications, resource optimization, cost reduction, business integration, and more. You will ensure that projects adhere to established phase gate processes, maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, and provide regular updates to management. Job Responsibilities Project Leadership: * Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards. * Ensure adherence to phase gate processes and project management best practices. * Maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, and provide regular status updates to management. * Coordinate project activities with various departments, including Product Management, Sales, Design Engineering, Marketing, Industrial Design, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Finance, Planning, Quality, and Purchasing. * Facilitate the use of concurrent engineering practices to shorten project timelines. * Manage project risks by identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and tracking their progress. Team Management: * Lead, manage, and facilitate multiple project teams concurrently. * Provide structure and leadership for project teams. * Facilitate effective team meetings and address conflicts. * Understand and improve team dynamics. * Identify and address common group problems. * Mentor and develop team members. Stakeholder Management: * Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. * Secure buy-in and commitment to project goals, roles, and processes. * Effectively communicate project progress and challenges to stakeholders. Process Improvement: * Identify and lead initiatives to improve project management processes and streamline workflows. * Contribute to strategic initiatives and product development process improvements. Other duties as assigned. Education/Experience * Bachelor's degree in a product development related discipline (e.g. Engineering, Manufacturing, or Marketing). * Project Management Professional (PMP) desired. * 3 - 5 years of experience in concurrent product development and 3 - 5 years of increasing responsibility for Product Development project management involving a broad range of technologies and processes.
