Copper State Bolt & Nut Co. is looking for an Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will work with our maintenance personnel collaboratively to design maintenance procedures, scheduled maintenance plans, and perform periodic preventative maintenance to ensure that both the life expectancy of our equipment and the safety of our employees are guaranteed. Attention to detail, organization, written & verbal communication, analytic & problem-solving skill, physical ability for sustained 50lb lifting, manual dexterity, and the ability to prioritize tasks are all prerequisites for this position. It is essential for maintenance technicians to have a breadth of knowledge encompassing mechanical, electrical, heating, and plumbing systems. Required Technical Skill Set: * Experience with AC & DC electrical power supplies and control systems * Working knowledge with three phase power supply * Has proven experience with electrical troubleshooting and basic electrical testing procedures including continuity, resistance, capacitance, and inductance. * Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) standards * Grounding methods and verification * AC & DC motors * Transformers and regulators * Power transmission and wire sizing * Circuit breakers, fuses, reclosers, relays, and switches/contactors General mechanical aptitude * Experience with hydraulic & pneumatic systems. * Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures. * Setup and repair of ventilation and evaporative cooling systems. * Maintain and repair locking mechanisms, gear & belt driven transmissions, bearing service and replacement. * MIG welding and metal fabrication capability * Knowledge of oil, grease, and coolant applications for lubrication and heat dissipation * Adherence to policies regarding disposal of hazardous material and safe storage. * Working knowledge of power tools, hand tools and common appliances Leadership Requirements: * Participate in ongoing operational, safety, and technical training programs. * Ability to use Excel, Word and email for daily communication and data entry. * Actively Identifies potential safety hazards throughout the facility and implements preventative measures to avoid injuries and reduce the risk of future problems. * Willingness to assist or lead on any maintenance project and to assist in the development of junior level technicians. * Obtains our forklift certification and will be certified to train new maintenance and production forklift operators. * Should have a driver's license. Shift: M-F, 7am - 3:30pm
