Payroll Customer Service

Description We are in search of a Payroll Customer Service professional to join our team in San Ramon, California. Our industry calls for the provision of high-quality and timely support to both internal and external customers. As a Payroll Customer Service professional, your role will focus on handling inquiries related to payroll, timecards, and more while maintaining excellent customer service standards. This role is a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: - Serve as the first point of contact via phone call or email for issues related to payroll and time entry systems. - Utilize extensive knowledge of departmental functions to resolve issues accurately and in a timely manner. - Process and document transactions or initiate forms to be resolved by Payroll Operations. - Educate branch offices about timelines, procedures, and the cost/benefit of various alternatives. - Manage high volume of customer interactions daily, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality of response. - Maintain detailed understanding of multiple systems and business processes used within the Customer Service and Payroll Operation departments. - Educate candidates about the various self-service options via websites and Interactive Voice Response. - Handle a variety of service requests relating to payroll, benefits, employment verification, and more. - Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status. - Field candidate calls related to payroll, timecards, I-9, and password resets.
