Description This position is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all College-owned facilities and equipment, with direction from the Physical Plant Manager. This is a full-time, 12-month, hourly position with employee health and basic life insurance paid by the college. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent; * Must be able to physically access all areas of campus; * Valid Missouri driver's license, with the ability to obtain a commercial driver's license within 120 days from employment; * Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with grounds related equipment and duties (mowers, tractors, etc.); * Experience with custodial related equipment and duties; * Experience with building systems and plant related equipment; * Education and/or experience beyond minimum requirements. Job Responsibilities Principle Duties and Responsibilities: * Be responsible for unlocking all buildings and rooms as requested and turn off security alarms; * Complete room setups for functions held in meeting rooms; * Remove snow and ice and apply ice melt when necessary; * Assist with grounds duties as necessary; * Assist with custodial duties as necessary; * Maintain a working knowledge of HVAC systems and assist the HVAC Technician as needed; * Perform minor electrical repairs; * Repair/replace plumbing fixtures; * Perform facility repairs as necessary, such as repairing doors and windows, installing dropped ceilings, painting, etc... * Perform repairs of all College equipment or recommend that it be repaired off-campus; * Assist contractors in locating facilities and equipment for installation and repairs; * Make deliveries of packages and equipment to locations on- and off-campus; * Provide for the general maintenance of all MACC vehicles to include minor repairs; * Perform maintenance duties at all MACC sites as needed; * Perform other duties as assigned by the Physical Plant Manager or Director of Plant Operations.
