Maintenance Technician

MAINTENANCE TECH FOR SENIOR SKILLED FACILITY AND APARTMENT COMPLEX The Maintenance Technician aids in maintaining the property and equipment of the facility. This position maintains mechanical and electrical equipment in operable conditions. They respond to maintenance requests made by Residents and other facility personnel and perform other additional duties.The Maintenance Technician constructs, repairs, and maintains structures such as equipment, partitions, and other parts of building, using hand tools and power tools.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of methods, materials, and toolsKnowledge of HVAC service and repairs is a plusKnowledge of plumbing, electrical, and constructionKnowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautionsAbility to detect defects in equipment and to make proper repairs or adjustmentsAbility to follow instructions with little to no supervisionKeep maintenance shops clean and organizedHas the ability to find work without being toldWork with outside contractorsEducation and Experience:High school diploma or GED Two years' experience in a Healthcare setting preferredTwo years' experience as a Maintenance Technician requiredOther Qualifications:Valid driver's licenseEPA certification preferredOn call rotation requiredAny other duties assigned
