Bayberry Garden is seeking a passionate, committed Service Manager to join our team. Ideal candidates are natural leaders who demonstrate a genuine interest in teaching, learning and growing, all while providing exceptional hospitality. Candidates are comfortable waxing poetic about the origin story of a favorite distiller, brewer, or wine maker. You love the culinary world, know how to entertain a crowd, and can warmly dole out attention to our guests. You should excel at completing work you can be proud of, in a timely manner, while being respectful of others' time, space, energy, lifestyle, hygiene and humanity. The ideal candidate must: - have approximately 4 years of FOH service experience; 2 years of that in a fine-dining or casual fine-dining setting with a beverage focus; and, 1 year of leadership experience. - be able to multi-task and prioritize a high volume of tasks quickly and efficiently. - work well and play nice with others. - be approachable, engaging and empathetic - have a genuine curiosity for and appreciation of food, beverage, and hospitality. - stay cool under pressure. Bonus points for: - being certified as a Food Safety Manager in RI. - sommelier or cicerone certification. - insane Tetris skills. Physical Demands : The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 5 to 10 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
