Dim sum, noodle soups, seafood and house specialties like whole Peking duck join a bevy of elegant wines and specialty cocktails on a menu made to suit any celebration. We are now seeking an Executive Sous Chef to work collaboratively as part of the management team to create moments that surprise, details that delight, and flavors that linger long after the last plate is cleared. This position offers a comprehensive package including: A Base Salary Range of $85,000- $90,000 Quarterly Bonus Program up to 15% Paid Vacation and Sick Time Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits Coverage Dining Discounts at over 25 Affiliated STARR Restaurants Opportunity for Career Advancement and Professional Growth Qualified candidates will be: Humble in their approach to learning and professional self-development Passionate about using Asian ingredients in a unique and exciting way Energetic and enthusiastic and possess strong communication and organizational skills Qualified candidates will have: 3+ years of kitchen leadership experience in high-volume food focused operations Motivational leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire, teach, and coach employees Excellent time management skills and supervisory skills in a large space The ability to drive the success of service by supporting expediting and staff shortages The ability to support restaurant ordering, inventory, and cost control Experience with Asian cuisine is highly preferred Buddakan NYC is an equal opportunity employer.
