City/State Suffolk, VA Overview Work Shift Rotating (United States of America) Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a General Maintenance Mechanic Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift Position Location: On site at Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk VA Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET). Position Summary: Performs general maintenance as directed and as necessary on all aspects of building structure and systems to include floors, walls, ceilings, lighting HVAC, transportation systems, mechanical electrical, plumbing and other items. Refrigerant Recovery certification Type I and Type II preferred or Universal preferred. Minimum Requirements: * High School diploma or equivalent /Trade school graduate * Drivers License VA or NC in good standing * Journeyman Heating, Ventilation and AC Tradesman ( JHVA) * Refrigerant Transition & Recovery Certification Type I and Type II * 3 years HVAC experience Diversity and Inclusion at Sentara Our vision is that everyone brings the strengths that come with diversity to work with them every day.
