Job Description Northampton Veterinary Clinic is an employee-focused, full service small animal practice, serving Northampton and the Pioneer Valley. We would like to add a Veterinary Assistant to Northampton Veterinary Clinic's dedicated and growing team! Could that be you?? About Us: We are a 7 doctor, fast-paced, full-service, small animal practice serving the community for almost 25 years. Northampton Veterinary Clinic is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to our patients, alongside friendly & compassionate service to our clients. We LOVE what we do! We offer a variety of services including wellness & preventative care, digital radiography, diagnostic ultrasound, full service in-house laboratory, laser therapy, soft tissue surgery, dental surgery, and much more! About You: * You are familiar with pet behavior and handling * You are outgoing, enthusiastic, compassionate and not afraid to get dirty * You are organized, thorough, and have great attention to detail * You have great problem solving skills and good physical stamina * You have exceptional stress-management skills that help you thrive when things get hard * You are an excellent listener and communicate in a caring and respectful way * You can work directly with the veterinarians and technicians to ensure all of our patients and clients have the best care and experience possible. Anticipated schedule: * Our clinic is open Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm and Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pm * Equivalent of four 10-hour shifts per week * Every other Saturday morning is required * We are closed Sundays, with no on-call Compensation: * We believe that each team member should be compensated considering their knowledge, skills, and experiences."¯Starting rate for an assistant without previous experience is $16.50 per hour, and $17 per hour after a 3 month trial period. Experienced assistants will earn more to start.
